Remedy Medical Cannabis Dispensary Opens In Huntington Station – Huntington, NY Patch

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Remedy, a New York medical cannabis dispensary, officially opened for business in Huntington Station on Wednesday. The opening marks the first business of its kind in Huntington, as well as the first Remedy location on Long Island, according to a press release. Remedy can be found at 277 Walt Whitman Road.

The ribbon cutting was held at 10 a.m. with elected officials, representatives from Remedy, members of the community and patients.

Remedy Long Island will offer a selection of capsules, topical creams, vape pens/cartridges and oral tinctures. Patients can purchase up to a 30-day supply after being certified for any one of the New York State-approved medical conditions including ALS, Chronic Pain, PTSD, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s Disease and more.

Joe Caltabiano, president and co-founder of Cresco Labs, which owns Remedy, stated the staff was trained by some of America’s leading cannabis experts on the types of strains, delivery methods and what medicinal benefits are unique to them.

“We understand that this type of medicine is new for most people and we look forward to educating patients and the community, so they feel comfortable using this form of relief,” Caltabiano said. “Many people in our communities suffer needlessly from pain or can’t sleep or have appetite issues from any one of the conditions – this is a day for them to celebrate that there’s a new form of relief on Long Island.”

Remedy’s core mission of patient education and outreach is meant to help inform patients about using medical cannabis as medicine through private, one-on-one consultations, according to the release.

Remedy Long Island is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, visit or call the dispensary at 631-238-3670.

The opening marks the company’s fourth outpost in New York State, following others in Mohawk Valley, Hudson Valley and Williamsburg, Brooklyn, which also opened this week.
