President Trump to Make Overnight Stay in New York City – NY1

President Donald Trump is scheduled to make a rare overnight stay in his hometown Thursday.

Trump is expected to arrive in the city around 5:30 p.m. and head to fundraiser before staying at Trump Tower overnight.

Since moving to the Oval Office, the former Manhattan businessman has made few visits to his home state, which disapproves of him. As a result, the scene around Trump Tower has been downright tranquil compared to the period after Election Day, when it served as Trump’s home base, playing home to VIPs, tying up traffic, and prompting strict security measures.

NYPD officials previously estimated every day Trump spends in New York costs the city about $300,000. And that’s not accounting for any protests.
