Health access for all in NYC: What the city is doing to realize the goal of universal coverage and care – New York Daily News

In New York City, we have spent the last two years making systemic changes in the public hospital system to modernize its operation, stabilize its finances and get us ready to realize the City’s vision of “guaranteed health care for all” — which includes increasing enrollment in the city’s public option, MetroPlus, for insurance, enrolling more New Yorkers in Obamacare and creating a health-care program for those who absolutely cannot get health insurance.
